TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENTS DURING FACILITY EXPANSION
Updated June 26, 2026
Construction for our facility expansion, in preparation of new simulators, begins June 29th, and will continue until spring 2027. The construction period will not impact training operations, however, we do apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may cause. Thank you for your understanding.
We have implemented temporary arrangements throughout the construction period regarding facility access, taxis, parking, and emergency meeting point, all detailed below. Additionally, in mid-July, construction will include bedrock blasting.
Any changes will be communicated in person or email, and updated to this page.
Access to Facility
The entire upper yard (including parking lot and terrace) is part of the active construction zone and closed to access, as indicated in red in the image.
Entry to the facility will remain through our main entrance. There is a pedestrian route that is provided via a temporary staircase to the walkway along the building and under the roof overhang leading to the main entrance. This route is marked in blue.
Note, that the forest shortcut, often used between the hotels and our facility, is closed for the construction period.

Taxi & Parking
The temporary taxi drop-off & pick-up is now located in the lower yard, indicated with the yellow circle in the picture above.
You can park in the spaces in the lower yard next to our building, alongside our company cars and Finnair spots. If there is no parking available, we have an additional parking lot across the street next to the Wihuri building.
Emergency Meeting Point
During construction period, the emergency meeting point is in the area of the number 1 in the image, also known as the temporary taxi drop-off & pick-up spot.
In the event of an evacuation, please follow designated emergency exits and meet in this area.

Bedrock Blasting in July
Between July 13 to 26th, construction will include periodic blasting. During these two weeks, blasting is scheduled for 15-minutes in between simulator sessions. Simulators should not be occupied during these slots to avoid negative training.
Note: In the event of thunderstorms, a blasting slot may occasionally happen at short notice for safety reasons.
