our founding story
The idea for Coptersafety came from a clear need to enhance the safety culture of the helicopter industry by utilizing simulators to provide high-quality training to pilots worldwide.
Full-flight simulators effectively and safety train pilots, reducing helicopter accidents. With a holistic and transparent training approach, we want to ensure that all helicopter pilots trained by Coptersafety feel confident and motivated to accomplish their missions even in the most challenging situation – to be one step ahead of reality.
Today, Coptersafety is the largest independent helicopter simulator training center. Our mission will always be to improve safety in helicopter operations. Together as a community, we can continue to take the industry forward around the globe.

Our team has decades of experience in their field, whether it's our training department or our engineers, we're the best of the best. Our training programs are designed by pilots, for pilots, and taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors.
Coptersafety instructors come from, and still fly in, a vast variety of operations including SAR, HEMS, Offshore and Aerial Work. With a large group of experienced instructors we always have up-to-date knowledge in-house. This allows us to always meet and exceed customer expectations.

Coptersafety is based in Finland, a country known for being the happiest in the world, its thousands of lakes, reindeer, and endless summer nights. Not that you will see any of it. Experience true Nordic efficiency at our facility, located 4 minutes from Helsinki International Airport.
Our operations and trainings are driven by Nordic precision and reliability. With Coptersafety, you are choosing a training partner who cares about aviation safety and has the know-how, tools, and passion for delivering it. Everything we do is designed to genuinely improve safety and help you with your safety management and processes.
Training is our only business, our only passion, our only activity. Nothing else. Well, we did build a terrace to enjoy between training sessions. But it’s too cold most of the year, so pilots enjoy our lounges instead.
Efficient facility
A well-organized and compact helicopter training center allows pilots and their instructors to focus on training entirely. The whole training process from briefing to simulator training and debriefing is carried out in our state-of-the-art training base with plenty of room for relaxing and socializing during breaks – with complimentary beverages and snacks included as a vital part of the training services.
